American Crime Writers League
The ACWL is a meeting place for crime writers. To become a member, you must have published at least one full-length work of fiction, three short stories or three non-fiction crime titles.

Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America
To become an active member of SFWA, you need to have professional publication of either three short stories, one full-length book or a dramatic script.

Sisters in Crime
SinC is an international organization dedicated to raising the awareness of women's contributions to the mystery genre. The group consists of readers, writers and even male "sisters."

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
Membership type depends on if you've been published. However, as long as you are interested in children's literature, you can join this organization.

Western Writers of America
If the wild west is your passion, the WWA is the place for you! To be considered for membership, you must have at least one American West-themed book published or several magazine articles.
